Robotics Club

 This team challenges students in grades 6 through 8 to think like scientists and engineers and use block coding with the LEGO MINDSTORMS robot. To prepare for the FIRST LEGO league tournament in December, the team choose and solve a real-world problem and program the robot to maneuver through a set of missions in the robot game. Throughout their experience, teams operated under FIRST set of Core Values, celebrating discovery, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism.

Additional meetings are held in the Spring to prepare fifth graders for the Fall and to give the older team members opportunities to mentor.

Cost is $30 to cover materials and tournament fees. The team meets on Fridays beginning in early September. There is a limit of 10 students allowed on the team going to competition, but we are happy to accommodate others who are interested in learning more about robotics.
